ALOS-2 satellite imagery
Remote sensing is gaining more prominence as the need to observe environmental changes increases and satellite technology improves. Following the latest trends and technology, Oikon has recognised this increasing demand and made an addition to existing solutions with ALOS-2 satellite imagery. As of March 2022, OIKON is an official distributor of ALOS-2 satellite imagery for Croatia.
ALOS-2 – the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2 is a Japanese satellite launched in 2014. It provides high-resolution satellite imagery used for a range of purposes including capturing information about disaster conditions, agriculture, forestry, marine observation, and resource exploration.
The state-of-the-art L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR-2) aboard ALOS-2 is a high-performance microwave sensor capable of observing day and night and in all weather conditions. It detects movement on the ground below vegetation and does so with high accuracy and swiftly. It is currently one of the few satellites in the world that provides this type of data.

- High-resolution Observation Regardless of Day or Night, Weather Conditions
- Disaster Response by Emergency Observation
