February 19, 2024 – Under the theme “Life’s a Masquerade,” Oikon hosted its annual masquerade party. The event was filled with teamwork, laughter, entertainment, and imaginative costumes. It provided yet another opportunity for us to unwind, enjoy ourselves, and strengthen bonds with colleagues. 🙂
True to our identity as a scientific institute, we kicked off the festivities with a pub quiz. Masked teams competed, showcasing their expertise across various domains, fostering team spirit and collaboration. As their name suggests, “The Smartest” clinched victory, but only narrowly over the runner-up team “Streptokokice,” while the forestry team “Pro Silva” secured third place. Congratulations to all the teams for their exceptional performance and remarkable knowledge!
But the night wasn’t just about trivia. The real star of the show were the imaginative costumes that enhanced the evening’s colourful and lively atmosphere. Employees seized the chance to exhibit their creativity and charm, with many standing out, as evident in the photos.
Special commendations go to Mia for her winning “Queen of Hearts” costume. Second place was awarded to Marta, Marita, and Lea for their collaborative “Rock-Paper-Scissors” costume, while Stipe from “Supernatural” claimed third place with his imaginative spider costume. It was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm in one evening.
