December 16, 2022 – December is the season when we all get into the Christmas spirit, enjoy Christmas songs, smells and tastes of Christmas cookies, and decorate our offices because we at Oikon take Christmas seriously 😊. So seriously, that for the second year in a row we are organizing a competition for the most Christmassy offices.
Our employees worked hard on decorating the offices. While some cut the snowflakes the traditional way – with scissors… others were more creative and printed theirs on office 3D printers.
In addition to decorated Christmas trees, snowflakes and lots of Christmas lights, the employees made nutcrackers, snowmen, fireplaces, big light bulbs, and nativity scenes. There was also the Grinch who tried to steal Christmas.
The competitive spirit is strong and the last details and decorations are placed just before the arrival of the jury. “Bribing” the jury with food and drinks is also an indispensable and very fun part of the competition. 🙂
The jury carefully observed each office, tasting all the delicacies, and made a difficult but fair decision. All offices were excellent, but a few must be highlighted:
The office of our foresters from Pro silva was chosen for the most Christmassy office, as it had the most prominent decorations – from beautiful large snowflakes hanging from the ceiling to an authentic fireplace:
The second place was taken by the office of the Department of Natural Resources Management, which was decorated with painted windows and snowflakes made with a 3D printer:
The third place was taken by the Business Support Services office, which prepared a real Christmas atmosphere with a nativity scene and a sleigh track. They also made an effort with snowflakes:
But that’s not all. Every office was so beautiful that the jury had to award special praises for:
- The biologists’ office, which provided comfortable deckchairs for a break with hot tea
- The landscapers for representing the Grinch who messed up everyone’s plans with an unexpected gift theft.
- The Supernatural office with creative Santa’s bat-pulled sleigh.
- The office of the Department of Environmental Engineering for the most Christmassy table, which they completed with a great song and dance act.
Congratulations to the winners and praise to all employees for their Christmas spirit and excellent mood. Ho-ho-ho! 🎄
