September 19, 2025 – At the Infobip Shift 2025 conference held this week in Zadar, Oikon’s Chief Technology Officer Branimir Radun took part in the panel “Cleantech in Space” on the Startup Stage.
Under the great moderation of Bernard Ivezić, President of the Croatian Space Association HISPACE, the panel brought together top innovators and tech leaders from Croatia: Filip Novoselnik, Founder & CEO of Protostar Labs, Marko Brkljačić, Co-founder of NUOTWO & GBC HUB, and Oikon’s Branimir Radun, expert in downstream Earth Observation and spatial analytics.
The panel covered a wide spectrum of topics:
- detection of seagrass meadows and insects from space,
- various cleantech solutions for sustainability,
- advances in edge computing in orbit,
- and even futuristic concepts such as growing crops on Mars.
In his contribution, Brane presented how Oikon uses satellite data to support environmental protection, nature conservation, and sustainable development. Through Earth Observation, Oikon monitors ecosystems, detects changes, and delivers insights that guide science-based decisions.
By sharing the stage with some of Croatia’s leading pioneers in space and cleantech, we showed that world-class innovation is thriving not only in global hubs but also here in Croatia.
