Advent and Christmas at Oikon and Pro Silva are more than just dates in the calendar. It’s the time of year when the office feels warmer, laughter gets louder, but productivity stays on track. It may be the end of the year and there is still plenty of work to do, but the warm, friendly atmosphere makes everything easier. For many of us, it’s also our favourite part of the year.
The most Christmassy offices
The fun starts early, with preparations and decorating. Our goal is to create a pleasant work atmosphere and escape, at least for a while, the winter greyness and cold. It’s also a great opportunity for teamwork and bonding, and the results are, as always, wonderfully creative.
An independent and absolutely completely objective jury, made up of our wisest colleagues, visited all offices and reached a decision:
The title of the most Christmassy office of 2025 undoubtedly went to the office with the Home Alone theme. A defence plan, a trap schedule, and a clear strategy … everything was in place. Honestly, the jury was lucky to get out of the office uninjured. Congratulations to the two colleagues left alone in the office for executing the perfect mission.
Second place went to the equally imaginative biologists’ office, which was transformed into Santa’s toy workshop, where elves took over the desks and got down to work. The atmosphere was busy but cheerful, exactly as it should be.
Third place went to our GIS team with their very cute office decoration featuring mice and portals, complemented by international holiday videos.

Christmas party
The traditional Oikon and Pro Silva Christmas party didn’t disappoint this year either. Laughter, dancing, lively conversations, food, drinks, and great energy marked the evening from start to finish. Secret Santa was a hit once again, and the pub quiz, as always, was a great chance for a different kind of teamwork and proof that we have some seriously strong quiz players in the company.
After giving our brains a proper workout, the more relaxed part of the evening followed. The dance floor was full, while part of the team, as usual, treated table football very seriously. As the icing on the cake, three of our colleagues celebrated their birthdays and treated us to excellent cakes.
Advent at Oikon once again showed that we know how to do serious work and how to seriously enjoy ourselves. And that is, honestly, one of our favourite traditions. The Christmas party is that moment in the year when we pause for a bit, raise a glass to everything behind us, and step into what comes next with a smile.
