U Oikonu održana treća radionica Eurostars projekta GEOAI4ESRSE4

July 7, 2026 – The 3rd workshop of the international Eurostars project GEOAI4ESRSE4 – “Integrated Geospatial Information System (GIS), Earth Observation (EO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) toolbox for European Sustainability Reporting Standards on Biodiversity and Ecosystem (ESRS E4)” was held at Oikon in Zagreb, bringing together the project’s Austrian partners, Spatial Services GmbH and the University of Salzburg.

The two-day meeting focused on reviewing progress made so far in developing an integrated tool that combines geospatial information systems, Earth observation data, and artificial intelligence to support reporting under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS E4) on biodiversity and ecosystems. The team shared results of activities carried out to date, aligned methodological approaches between partners, and agreed on next steps for the upcoming stages of tool development and testing.

The workshop also served to strengthen collaboration within the consortium. Representatives of Oikon thanked the Austrian partners for their productive cooperation and hospitality at previous meetings. The next, fourth workshop on the project will take place in September 2026 in Vienna, where the consortium will continue working on the further development of the GEOAI4ESRSE4 tool.

This project has received funding from the Eurostars-3 Joint Programme and is co-funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Programme, HAMAG-BICRO, and the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme. The content of this publication is the sole responsibility of Oikon.
