The technical project documentation of the main project design and technical study for the habitat restoration intervention for the species Telestes croaticus (Croatian pijor) within the ecological network area HR2001272 Jadova is a part of the overall project documentation for the target species Telestes croaticus (Croatian pijor) within the project “Hidden World of Lika’s Forests and Waters”.
Project documentation for the target species Croatian pijor is prepared for the application of projects intended for funding under the Competitiveness and Cohesion Program 2021–2027, Specific Objective RSO 2.7: Strengthening the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution (ERDF), within the call “Improved management of protected areas/areas of the Natura 2000 ecological network in the Republic of Croatia”.
The methodology for implementing the project documentation activities aligns with the Prioritized Action Framework (PAF) for the Natura 2000 network in the Republic of Croatia (OG 54/2022) and the species-specific conservation objectives and measures for Telestes croaticus within the HR2001272 Jadova ecological network area.
Preparation of project documentation includes the following activities:
1. Field research of endangered and endemic fish species within the area EM HR2001272 Jadova
2. Preparation of a FEASIBILITY STUDY as the basis for project proposal application and implementation, which includes conducting all necessary analyses/reports/guidelines/plans required for preparation of technical project documentation for the habitat restoration intervention for Telestes croaticus within the HR2001272 Jadova ecological network area:
- Proposal of measures and activities to mitigate the impact of invasive alien species on the ichthyofauna of Jadova
- Preparation of a feasibility study including status analysis and conservation guidelines for habitats in the Jadova river
3. Preparation of technical project documentation MAIN/EXECUTION PROJECT for habitat restoration intervention for Telestes croaticus within the HR2001272 Jadova ecological network (if needed, including hydrological and/or hydraulic calculations of Jadova for planning the “construction of an ecological barrier” at the confluence of Jadova and Lika) with all necessary permits for intervention:
- Preparation of technical project documentation for conservation and restoration of Telestes croaticus population throughout the Jadova River
- Preparation of a cost estimate
- Obtaining all necessary permits.
