July 24, 2020 — Organized by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, this week was held the Initial Conference of the project ‘Strategic documentation for the development of waterways and inland ports of the Republic of Croatia for the period 2018-2028’.
Božica Šorgić, PhD, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Željko Koren held a presentation at the conference on Oikon’s part of the project contract, which includes the development of a Strategic Environmental Assessment on the Impact of the River Transport Development Strategy in the Republic of Croatia for a period of ten years, including the Appropriate Assessment.
The preparation of the Strategic Environmental Assessment will determine the impact of the River Transport Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia on the components of the environment, analyze the nature of these impacts and prescribe measures to prevent and reduce possible negative environmental impacts.
