The analysis of Sisak-Moslavina spatial potential for the use of renewable energy sources consisted of the following project components:

  • Analysis of use potential of wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy (from agriculture, forestry, waste), biogas energy/landfill – gas energy, geothermal energy and aquifer energy in Sisak-Moslavina County as well as their use technology
  • Assessment of natural and technical potential of the aforementioned renewal energy sources
  • Performance of multi-criteria analysis of area suitability models for the location of photovoltaic power plants, wind farms, biomass power plants, and small hydroelectric power plants, on the basis of pre-defined development and protection criteria
  • Performance of selection and analysis of potential sites, estimation of risk level for each location of significant ecological network impact
  • Performance of selection and analysis of potential locations for biogas/landfill-gas energy and geothermal energy utilisation
  • Performance of selection of locations to be included in the SP of Sisak-Moslavina County

Provision of guidelines for used and location of RES power plants outside the building area of a settlement; particular guidelines for the planning and construction of a small photovoltaic and solar thermal systems in the building area of a settlement as well as guidelines for the use of renewable energy sources in building construction.
