The objective of the assignment was to assess the potentially significant existing and future environmental and social impacts associated with the proposed project (SPP Pelegrin, Phase I), assess compliance with applicable laws and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Environmental and Social Policies (ESP) and Performance Requirements (PRs) and other lenders’ standards (World Bank Environmental and Social Standards), identify measures needed to avoid or minimise and mitigate adverse impacts, and identify potential environmental and social opportunities, including those that would improve the environmental and social sustainability of the projects.
