Project name: Environmental Impact Assessment for 3 main high-pressure gas-pipelines: MP Vukovar – Negoslavci DN 500/50, Osijek – Vukovar DN 500/50 and Sotin – Bačko Novo Selo DN 800/75 bar
Client: Plinacro Ltd.
Project partners: Dvokut ECRO Ltd., Ekonerg Ltd.
Period: 06/2021 – 12/2023
Location: Croatia
The project involved the construction of three main gas pipelines in Croatia, each designed as a closed technological system using steel pipes. The pipelines include:
- Vukovar – Negoslavci DN 500/50: An 11 km long pipeline in Vukovar – Srijem County, with a nominal diameter of DN 500 and an operating pressure of 50 bar. It is installed underground except for equipment in two above-ground cleaning stations.
- Osijek – Vukovar DN 500/50: A 30 km long pipeline traversing Vukovar – Srijem County and Osijek – Baranja County, also with a nominal diameter of DN 500 and an operating pressure of 50 bar. This pipeline is similarly underground, with two above-ground cleaning stations.
- Sotin – Bačko Novo Selo DN 800/75: A 3 km long pipeline in Vukovar – Srijem County, with a larger nominal diameter of DN 800 and a higher operating pressure of 75 bar, installed entirely underground.
All projects are subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) with an Appropriate Assessment. The study includes:
- Technical description of the project,
- Information on the location and description of the location of the project,
- Assessment of the potential significant impacts on the environmental components,
- Proposal of mitigation measures and environmental monitoring program,
- Appropriate Assessment (Nature Impact Assessment on Natura 2000) – impact analysis for Natura 2000 conservation objectives (Special Protected Areas, Sites of Community Interests).
The Environmental Impact Assessment procedure includes amending the Study according to the opinion of the Expert Advisory Committee, public consultation, and meetings with all participants in the process.
Implementation of this Project contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals:
