April 13, 2026 – The European Renewable Energy and Wildlife Consortium (ERWC) held its annual meeting in Zadar from 7 to 10 April 2026. The meeting was organised by Oikon Ltd. – Institute of Applied Ecology together with its partner Supernatural, both founding members of the consortium.
The meeting brought together partners from across Europe, including Waardenburg Ecology (Netherlands), Ecosphere (France), NCC (Greece), and newly joined member Bioinsight & Ecoa (Portugal), further strengthening the consortium’s network and expertise. Over four days, participants focused on collaboration, joint projects, and the role of science in supporting responsible renewable energy development while protecting nature.
In addition to the working sessions, participants enjoyed a guided tour of Zadar, which introduced them to the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. The programme also included field visits to Vransko Lake Nature Park and Paklenica National Park, where partners gained insight into local ecosystems and conservation practices while experiencing Croatian nature.
The meeting in Zadar further strengthened cooperation within the consortium, and we look forward to the next steps and continued joint work.
