November 11, 2024 – We are proud to have collaborated with Poslovna učinkovitost d.o.o. to create specialized modules within the Mini MBA ESG program, focused on the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Our experts shared their knowledge and practical guidance to help participants understand disclosure requirements and facilitate their meaningful, straightforward application in day-to-day business operations.
Participants in the program came from diverse sectors, ranging from finance and electronic communications to renewable energy. Here are some key insights our experts brought to the program:
- Andreja Pavlović, in the Key ESG Concepts module, guided participants through a double materiality assessment exercise based on concrete examples, demonstrating how evaluating material impacts, risks, and opportunities can deliver multi-dimensional value across the entire value chain.
- Martina Kolovrat addressed the topic of climate change, emphasizing how scenarios of global warming at 1.5°C and 2°C impact business, especially in the context of extreme weather events. She presented the key requirements of the ESRS E1 standard on climate change.
- Lovro Turkalj highlighted the importance of natural capital for the business sector, explained the ESRS E4 standard, and outlined the interconnectedness of biodiversity and ecosystems with climate change and other environmental standards. He also introduced GIS systems as a tool for better analysis and risk management in biodiversity.
- Tena Martinec presented ESRS S1, S2, S3, and S4 standards, covering topics from employee management and the value chain to engagement with affected communities and consumer rights protection. She provided examples of how companies can effectively implement social standards throughout the entire value chain.
