September 18, 2025 – Oikon is proud to announce that it has become an official reseller of Axelspace Corporation, a pioneer that develops and operates microsatellites to promote a society where space is accessible to people around the world. Axelspace specialises in Earth observation through its proprietary GRUS microsatellite constellation.
With this new partnership, Oikon continues to expand its portfolio of high-quality satellite data offerings, now representing Axelspace, European Space Imaging (EUSI), and Planet Labs – three global leaders in optical Earth observation. This enables Oikon to provide clients with a broader range of spatial resolutions, revisit frequencies, and tailored solutions for environmental monitoring, land use analysis, infrastructure planning, agriculture, forestry, and coastal and maritime applications.

Axelspace’s current capabilities, powered by five* GRUS-1 satellites, deliver high- to mid-resolution imagery (2.5 m) with a swath of 55 km, regular revisit intervals, and advanced spectral bands such as RGB, Red Edge, and Near-Infrared (NIR) for multispectral imaging. Scheduled for launch in 2026, the next-generation GRUS-3 satellites will enhance spectral capabilities with the addition of the Coastal Blue band. This will enable more advanced underwater and nearshore monitoring, supporting applications such as seabed mapping, blue carbon ecosystem analysis, and coastal habitat assessment.

“This partnership with Axelspace enhances our ability to deliver a broader range of Earth Observation solutions for a variety of applications in the environmental domain, including precision agriculture, land use planning, and coastal zone monitoring, reinforcing our position as a regional leader in applied geospatial services and environmental intelligence,” said Branimir Radun, Oikon CTO.
Through the agreement, Oikon will support clients with on-demand satellite tasking, archived Earth observation data, and comprehensive technical assistance across Croatia, the EU, and multiple countries in the Middle East and Southeast Europe.
