OIKON was a sponsor of the 1st Biospeleological Expedition – Biokovo 2017, organized by Croatian Biospeleological Society.
In the period of 17-25 June, 7 deep pits of Biokovo were biospeleologically and speleologically explored. The goal was to revisit certain caves to gather additional material necessary for detailed scientific analysis, to draw topographical maps of newfound caves and the caves for which the current maps are of unsatisfying quality, and to photographically document entrances and the interior of the caves. Furthermore, speleoarheological research was organized in cooperation with the Makarska City Museum.
