June 13, 2024 – Oikon is extremely proud to announce that it has been named the winner of the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) Company Award for 2024 for its significant contribution to the development of the Earth Observation (EO) services sector in Europe.

Oikon was chosen as the Company Award winner by the esteemed EARSC jury of internationally recognized experts based on its successful development of EO services for target markets, strong contributions to European programs like the Green Deal, Copernicus, and ESA projects, as well as demonstrated revenue and employment growth. Esteemed companies CouldFerro S.A., EUSI, Planetek Italia, and Sinergise were among the strong award finalists.
“We are extremely grateful to EARSC for this important recognition,” said Branimir Radun, CTO of Oikon. “This award highlights our team’s dedicated work in developing innovative Earth Observation services that advance our core activities in nature and environmental protection, sustainability efforts, and other vital European initiatives.“
This is the 10th edition of the EARSC Awards, which are given annually in three categories: the Company Award, the Product Award, and the Start-up Award. The awards this year were presented at the EARSC’s annual event – EXPANDEO, held on June 12–13, 2024, in Brussels. EXPANDEO is a platform for European Earth Observation companies, institutional actors, and various other stakeholders to interact, network, learn about current policies and their impact on the industry, as well as reflect on challenges and explore new horizons.
Congratulations to the winners in the Product Award and Start-up Award categories, as well as all the finalists. We look forward to continued innovation and impact across the European EO sector.
