Professional and advisory support in the preparation of the consolidated sustainability report of ENT Group for 2024.

Project name: Professional and advisory support in the preparation of the consolidated sustainability report of ENT Group for 2024.

Client: Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d.
Period: 01/2025 – 05/2025
Location: Croatia

Within the scope of the contracted expert and advisory support services, the first consolidated and audited Sustainability Report of the ENT Group for 2024 was successfully prepared, in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and the EU Taxonomy.

As part of the engagement, a detailed analysis was carried out of the alignment of existing practices with regulatory requirements, with a focus on environmental topics and the preparation of recommendations for their improvement. Applying AR 16 from ESRS 1, a top-down approach was used to identify material topics – from the analysis of the business model and strategic framework, through the mapping of key business relationships and interactions across the entire value chain (including a visual representation), to the identification and prioritisation of significant impacts, risks, and opportunities. The connection between significant factors and the ENT Group’s business model and strategy was also analysed.

In accordance with ESRS requirements, justified exclusions of individual topical standards and disclosure requirements were prepared. A double materiality assessment was conducted using a specialised software tool, generating an audit trail and a dedicated report as the basis for documenting the process.

In the area of decarbonization, methodological, advisory, and operational support was provided in calculating greenhouse gas emissions for Scope 1, 2, and 3, including interpretation of the results and adjustment of the calculation to regulatory and reporting requirements.

An analysis was prepared of the ENT Group’s policies, governance mechanisms, and regulatory compliance in the ESG area, along with recommendations for improving the existing system for managing material sustainability factors.

During the collaboration process, key meetings were held with the top management of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, including the President and members of the Executive Management, as well as with the ENT Group’s Sustainability Steering Committee and Working Committee, during which individual chapters of the report were prepared and aligned, and key methodological and content guidelines were agreed upon.

In addition, a targeted dialogue was conducted with experts from the ICT sector and from the field of European research and innovation policy, ensuring the relevance of the assessment and incorporating an external perspective.

Advisory support was also provided in assessing compliance with the EU Taxonomy, as well as during the limited assurance engagement process, including the preparation of additional clarifications related to the methodology and specific reporting requirements.

Beyond fulfilling regulatory obligations, the report preparation process also served as a tool for an in-depth analysis of the ENT Group’s operations through an ESG lens, laying the foundation for further systematic monitoring and management of environmental, social, and governance topics.

A couple of terminology notes: I translated “Predsjednicom Ericssona Nikole Tesle” as “the President… of Ericsson Nikola Tesla” — if this role is more commonly rendered as “President and CEO” or another specific title in your English-language materials, let me know and I can adjust. I also rendered “Upravljački i Radni odbor za održivost” as “Sustainability Steering Committee and Working Committee” — happy to adjust if ENT Group uses different official English names for these bodies.
