September 20, 2019 – the 4th Regional Conference on Environmental Impact Assessment, organized by the Croatian Association of Nature and Environment Professionals (HUSZPO) and with OIKON as the main sponsor, has taken place over the past two days in Vodice, Croatia.
The intensive programme, divided into three sections: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental and Nature Protection Strategy and Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, included over 80 oral presentations, seven poster presentations and two round table discussions. The conference brought together about 300 participants from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia – representatives of state administration bodies, environmental authorities, entrepreneurs, investors and civil society organizations.
Eighteen of Oikon’s experts held 21 oral and four poster presentations. With such strong presence, Oikon has proven its importance in the field of nature and environmental protection in both Croatia and the region.
The aim of the HUSZPO conference is to bring together stakeholders from different environmental and nature protection procedures and enable them to share their knowledge, experiences and views through constructive and democratic dialogue.
