The 55th Croatian and 15th International Agronomy Symposium

February 21, 2020 – The 55th Croatian and 15th International Agronomy Symposium was held in Vodice, Croatia from 16 to 21 February 2020 with the goal to present the results of scientific and professional work of Croatian and international specialists in order to enable a better transfer of scientific and professional achievements into agricultural production.

Oikon’s experts, Vladimir Kušan, PhD, Zrinka Mesić, PhD and Ivona Žiža, held presentations of their research.

Within the section on agro-ecology, organic agriculture and environmental protection, they presented their current knowledge regarding the Rural Development Program and its impact on biodiversity and soil.

They also demonstrated a new approach to mapping agricultural land use using the remote sensing data available through the Copernicus program.
