The 6th Conference on Wind energy and Wildlife impacts 2022

April 8, 2022 – Oikon participated in the 6th Conference on Wind energy and Wildlife impacts 2022 (CWW 2022), held April 4-8, 2022, in Egmond aan Zee, the Netherlands.

It is an international conference that gathers relevant experts from around the world to improve understanding of the risks of wind energy to wildlife and to develop solutions to avoid, minimise and offset the ecological impacts of wind farms, both onshore and offshore.

During the 5-day event, the 500 participants exchanged their knowledge in a series of keynote presentations, sessions, and workshops. They also visited nearby onshore and offshore wind farms, where they were able to see and discuss solutions in practice for this fast-growing industry.

This year, CWW 2022 was organised by Bureau Waardenburg and the Dutch government. Since the first meeting in Norway in 2011, the conference has taken place every two years and was held in Sweden in 2013, Germany in 2015, Portugal in 2017, Scotland in 2019 and the Netherlands in 2022.

We are pleased to announce that the next CWW event will be held in Croatia in September 2023 and will be organised by Oikon and partner company Supernatural. We are looking forward to September next year and CWW 2023 in Croatia! 😃

Stay tuned for more information.
