September 25, 2019 – While most of the Oikon staff was sharing knowledge at the HUSZPO conference last week, a couple of Oikon employees have embarked on the knowledge upgrading journey.
Alen Berta, Phd, Head of our Laboratory for Remote Sensing and GIS was in Piacenza, Italy on week-long course titled „COPERNICUS Sentinels: Remote sensing techniques in forestry“. The course was organized by ESA, EARSel and prominent Italian remote sensing institutes and universities.
There he learned more about the use of Sentinel 1, Sentinel 2 and Sentinel 3 satellites in forestry, as well the use of LIDAR and drones in forestry.
The participants from 12 countries covered private, public and academic sectors.
