New Head of Department of Natural Resources Management

January 4, 2021 – our expert Branimir Radun is now Head of the Department of Natural Resources Management. At this position, he is replacing Vladimir Kušan, Ph.D. who will now focus more on his tasks as Head of the Institute.

Branimir holds a Master’s degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics and has been a member of our Department of Natural Resources Management team for several years. He acquired his degree at the Faculty of Geodesy, the University of Zagreb in 2015 and the topic of his Master’s thesis was the integration of Photogrammetry and LiDAR data for paleontological research.

At Oikon he works on applied Remote Sensing on projects concerning Ecosystem Monitoring and Land Cover and Land use mapping. He has acquired relevant industry experience while working on large-scale regional and national projects from several domains of Remote Sensing such as Multispectral and SAR Earth Observation, Photogrammetry and LiDAR, as well as in Applied and Engineering Geodesy. He is a certified Engineer of Geodesy and a lecturer at UNIGIS Zagreb.

At his new position at Oikon, he is looking forward to continuing the successful operations of the Department with his great team of experts, as well as working on many interesting and pioneering projects.
