December 23, 2020 – As part of the Korak u život (Step into life) humanitarian project, in the next five years, Oikon will provide a scholarship for Đurđica Barilić, a student of organic agriculture at Zagreb University’s Faculty of Agriculture.
The total amount of the scholarship is 96,000 kunas (around 13,000 eur), and it will be paid monthly in the amount of 1,600 kunas (around 215 eur), for the duration of the next five years, provided that she studies regularly.
“At Oikon, from the very beginning and for almost 23 years now, we have based our services on knowledge, professional development and excellence, and we regularly support and sponsor numerous student and sectoral projects and events. Therefore, we are glad that we will give the scholarship to Đurđica Barilić and help make her studies a little easier. We wish her and other scholarship holders of this humanitarian project lots of success with their studies“, said Dalibor Hatić, Oikon CEO.

“Korak u život” (eng. Step into Life) is a humanitarian project of the Rotary Club Zagreb Kaptol and is one of the most successful and long-lasting humanitarian projects in Croatia. Continuously, since 2008, this project has provided a chance for young adults without appropriate parental care to complete their tertiary education.
