May 29, 2023 – Last week, we participated in the second international conference SUNNY DAYS 2023, which took place on May 25 and 26 on the island of Brač. During the conference, a panel discussion was held on the topic of “Go-to” areas that the European Commission is requesting for faster project development. These areas will enable faster and simpler implementation of RES projects within a year, without neglecting environmental protection. Each EU member state should determine its “Go-to” areas and prepare a legal framework for them.
“Again this year, the SUNNY DAYS conference covered important and current topics. The one that particularly captures the attention of the environmental protection sector, in the context of the rapid and environmentally responsible development of solar potential, is the unquestionable question of space where construction can be effectively and practically organized under conditions of optimized resolution of administrative obstacles, both in terms of environmental and nature protection and other regulatory issues. RES Croatia and Oikon created their concept of accelerated development zones (so-called GO-TO zones) for non-integrated solar and agrosolar power plants on this topic, which was presented at the conference,” said Dalibor Hatić, director of Oikon.
The SUNNY DAYS 2023 conference was organized by the association Renewable Energy Sources of Croatia with the aim of achieving better use of the potential of solar energy. The two-day conference gathered 400 participants, and more than 60 lecturers and panelists.
