June 24, 2020 — The International Consulting Alliance ICA World, a network of 65 consulting organisations and 60 individual consultants, supported by 39 partner organisations, has sent a letter to the European Commission with suggestions for improvements and ideas for adaptations in the tendering and implementation processes that would be beneficial to all in light of the current COVID-19 crisis.
Oikon Ltd. – Institute of Applied Ecology is one of the 39 partner organisations that have signed the document.
“We have decided to support, translate and publish ICA World’s proposals to the European Commission for successful management of technical projects during COVID-19 crisis because we believe that they are comprehensive and practical and that they actively, concretely and creatively support contracting and execution of development projects in the European Union. Since the beginning of the corona crisis in the Republic of Croatia, we have been influencing the competent bodies and clients in a similar way and we have often come across the answer that something is not possible because it is prescribed so by the EU. These proposals and the information we receive from our EU colleagues show that this is not the case. We hope that our clients and regulatory bodies will respect and implement the proposed or similar measures that will enable further work and development in the Republic of Croatia “, explains Oikon director, Dalibor Hatić.
